Garston Ladies were back to winning ways at the weekend beating Sandy Ladies 3-1.

Vikki Duffy scored a brace and Gemma Curtis was also on target.

Duffy put Garston ahead but Sandy soon equalised. Curtis scored the second goal of the game from a free-kick, while Duffy managed to seal the win late on.

Garston Ladies 96 enjoyed a 9-2 victory at Watton. Natalie Powell netted four of the goals, while Cassandra Chase scored a brace and Juliette Westbrook, Jade Roberts and Lauren Berryman all bagged one each.

The home side scored twice before Garston switched on, with Powell opening her side’s account. Chase then levelled before Westbrook gave the visiting side the lead before half-time.

Roberts scored her first goal for Garston while Powell hit the back of the net three more times before the game ended. Chase also got her second as Berryman joined her teammates on the scoresheet.

The Under-16 Jaguars County Cup hopes ended at the quarter-final stage as they 1-0 at Bedwell Rangers 1-0.

The home side defended well as the Jaguars suffered their first defeat of the season.

Garston’s under-14 Pumas are into the semi-finals though, a brace from Abbie Lafayette as well as goals from Abbey Reith and Sydney Webb saw them win 4-0 at Harvesters.

Libby Poster was brought down in the box five minutes in and Lafayette stepped up to convert from the spot. Reith quickly added a second and Webb scored her first goal for the Pumas before Lafayette netted her second before the break.
