Iruka Judokwai Judo Club have seen two of its members win medals at the Southend International Judo Competition.
Imaan Shah and Rory Akers both claimed medals whilst representing the Watford-based club.
Shah, from Watford Girls School, took part in the under-40kg weight group and came second, winning a silver medal.
Akers, who is one of several coaches at Iruka, received an award for his Judo skills as the best fighting coach 2015.
That after he spent his summer training in Japan and passing on his knowledge to others. Iruka Judokwai, based at Watford Fields Junior School Annexe, provides courses run by a British Judo Association qualified senior coach.
Junior sessions (8-15 year olds) take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15pm-7:45pm and senior sessions (16+) take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8:00pm-9:30pm.
