Moor Park golfer Matt Wallace insists he knows he has the game to succeed on the European Tour despite missing out on a card for next season.
The Pinner-based golfer missed the cut at final qualifying after finishing tied 105th on three-over par at the PGA Catalunya Resort in Spain.
Wallace said: "At the moment I am disappointed with how it’s turned out but in a few days when I look back at my year I can say I’ve worked really hard and seen a lot of improvements in my physical and mental game.
"Experiencing final stage of Q School to being in several final groups on the Alps Tour and getting through to final Open qualifying has been fantastic and all I can do now is to keep working hard and hopefully it will fall into place soon. I know I have the game to play and be successful on the European Tour."
Wallace's putting let him down and the golfer admitted his expectations also hindered him.
He said: "I had too many expectations which were unrealistic and we talked about just staying in the moment and playing the best shot you can at the time. I felt great leading into the tournament and I don’t think I controlled my emotions it as well as I could have.
"I was super positive which can also have a negative effect on your game. Staying in control of of your emotions is key at a tournament like this. It’s a great learning step for me."
