Belstone and Bedmond Sports and Social Club are through to the third round of the Anagram Records Trophy after both enjoyed away victories on Saturday.

Goals from Danny Johnson and Darren Turner fired Belstone to a 2-0 victory at Premier Division rivals Hadley Wood and Wingate, while Division One high-flyers Bedmond got the better of top-flight Bushey Sports Club 2-1 after extra-time thanks to a brace from Ian Sanz-Hurst.

Sarratt moved to within a point of the Premier Division summit after goals from Shaun Banham, Nick Reilly and Mark Shanahan secured a 3-1 victory at Wormley Rovers.

Two points below Sarratt are village neighbours Bovingdon, who have lost only once this season but may come to rue their number of drawn games.

Half of Bovingdon’s league fixtures have now ended all-square, although a 1-1 result at home to third-placed Sandridge Rovers is a decent result.

Old Parmiterians have a Herts Senior Centenary Trophy quarter-final trip to Harpenden Town to look forward to after beating fellow Premier Division strugglers Hatfield Social 3-0.

James Booth, Danny Fielding and Lawrence Olorunfemi were on target in the second round win.
