Belstone and Bedmond Sports and Social Club both made it through to the quarter-finals of the Aubrey Cup on a weekend when the weather again impacted on the Herts County League schedule.
Belstone encountered few problems en route to recording a 6-0 third round win at Ickleford thanks to a brace apiece from Darren Turner and Drew Tyler and single strikes from Ross O’Flynn and Jason Puzey.
Bedmond also kept a clean sheet as goals from Ian Hurst and Aaron Lewis saw their side to a 2-0 home victory over Sarratt.
Old Parmiterians may yet make the last eight after they beat Lemsford on penalties following an eight-goal second round tie.
Alex Connolly, Ben Poulton and L Bamgboye were among the visitors’ scorers as the tie ended 4-4 after extra-time, before Parmiterians progressed 4-3 on spot-kicks.
Chippefield Corinthians were the only side from the Watford area in action in the Premier Division, but a goal from Krasi Makaveev could not save them from a 2-1 home defeat against Letchworth Garden City Eagles.
