West Herts moved out of the relegation play-off spot with a 4-2 home win over third-placed Cambridge City in the National Hockey League East Conference on Saturday.

Dan Webster opened the scoring with a penalty corner strike after seven minutes but the visitors levelled after half an hour.

Top scorer Ed Beak, skipper Steve George and Luke Samarasinghe all got two and Matt Jackson popped up for number seven.

The thirds won 2-1 at Southend in East Division 2S after goals from Richard Ambrose and Nick Carr.
