Bedmond Sports and Social Club shook off the disappointment of suffering their first defeat of the season to reach the semi-finals of the Aubrey Cup with a 4-0 win at Bovingdon on Saturday.

Having seen their hopes of a trophy clean sweep ended by Springfield in the last four of the Anagram Records Trophy seven days previously, the Division One high-flyers proved too strong for their Premier Division opponents as goals from Mathew Hodges, Ian Hurst and Aaron Lewis helped take them into another semi.

Belstone joined Bedmond in bowing out at the penultimate stage of the Anagram Records Trophy after they were beaten 3-2 at London Lions.

Opeyemi Adeyemi, Gideon Boateng, Gary Burrell and Gavin Chatterpaul were on target as Bushey Sports Club claimed a 4-0 win at Premier Division basement side Old Parmiterians, who are now five points adrift.

A goal from James Hocking was the difference as Evergreen beat Ware Sports 1-0, while Chipperfield Corinthians pushed leaders Letchworth Garden Eagles hard before going down 4-3. Adrian Abramian netted twice for the visitors whose village neighbours Sarratt lost 2-0 at home to Hadley Wood and Wingate.

In Division One, Croxley Green secured a comfortable 4-0 win over FC Lemsford.
