Berkhamsted's remarkable run to the last-16 of the FA Vase was recognised on Saturday at the Spartan South Midlands Premier League's AGM.
Tommy Garrett’s side won six matches en-route to round five where their dreams of an appearance at Wembley were dashed as Northern League Division One side Morpeth Town ran out 2-1 winners at Broadwater.
However, the Comrades’ run in the Vase didn’t go without recognition and they were awarded the Houghton Regis Cup for the best performance in an FA competition by a SSMFL club.
Berkhamsted were also the recipients of two League Match Officials Association awards, one for sportsmanship and the other for hospitality. The club also received a cheque for good administration for the second season in a row.
