There was a clean sweep of League Cup wins for Watford Ladies Youth sides at the weekend with four teams progressing in their respective competitions.

The development squad overcame Herne Bay FC in the London and South East Regional Women’s League Cup after Kemina Webber found the back of the net.

Three teams progressed in the Herts Girls Partnership League Cup as the Under-18 Harts defeated Bedwell Rangers in 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out.

The game finished 4-4 at full-time after a brace from Mikhela Treon and further goals from Louise Chick and Anna Bearman.

There was a much easier route into the next round for the Under-15 Harts after they saw off Hemel Hempstead Town Youth 5-0.

Despite a slow start from the Under-15 Hornets, they got into their stride and won in a convincing 4-0 fashion over Bury Rangers.

In the Capital Girls League, the Under-17 Hornets beat Kent Football United 5-3 to move within two points of leaders Tottenham.

A Danielle Maloney hat-trick along with one apiece from Angel Frost and Olivia Syson saw the Hornets take the three points.

There was an a previously unbeaten clash as the Under-13 Hornets faced Hendon Youth with the latter grabbing the late winner to prevail 2-1.

The Under-13 Harts enjoyed a better time of it after they secured an emphatic 6-0 win against Bury Rangers Whites.

Lily Hanlon’s brace was complemented by goals from Mia Brown, Carys Harvey, Elysia Ayling and Alice Wharlow.

It was also a good day for the Under-11 Hornets who performed well in their away match against Alexandra Park Youth North.

Hanna Rostek and Macey Bannerman-Lloyd scored two goals apiece.
