Matt Wallace is due to travel to South Africa this weekend to compete in his third European Tour event.

The Moor Park Golf Club professional failed to make it through the second stage of European Tour Qualifying School earlier this month, but he has been successful in achieving an invite to compete in next week's Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The 26-year-old’s opportunity to play at Leopard Creek Country Club has come as a result of joining Chubby Chandler’s stable of golfing stars at International Sports Management and he is set to line up in a field including four-time tournament champion Charl Schwartzel.

The Pinner-based professional’s success on this year’s Alps Tour helped secure his previous two European Tour invites to the Nordea Masters and Lyoness Open in June where he finished in ties for 53rd and 103rd respectively.

Although he was unsuccessful in securing a European Tour card, Wallace’s six victories on the satellite tour and winning the Order of Merit means he is assured of a place on next year’s Challenge Tour.
