A Superb second-half display saw Fullerians defeat Barking 43-34 in London One North on Saturday.

Barking dominated the opening minutes of the game with two quick scores taking them into a 14-0 lead.

But the visitors got on the scoresheet shortly after when the Barking scrum creaked on their own five-metre line and flanker Connor Head was on hand to pounce on the loose ball with Dan Evans adding the conversion.

With some poor defensive work on display, the hosts scored again out wide from an interception and took the score to 22-7.

Just before the break, Fullers started to kick for territory and second row Liam Boyd regathered the ball from a Drew Horne kick down and passed to Rich McCabe to score.

Fullers’ third try followed after the break when Liam Mann was on hand to score after a catch and drive from a lineout made good progress.

Good movement in the back line then saw centre Julian Manieson in space and he used his pace to give his side the lead.

Moments later, debutant Tom Fawsett used his power to score in the other corner after some good midfield work by the Fullers pack.

Barking did come back with another couple of scores but Ben Wetton ensured the win was coming back to Watford when he crashed over the try-line from short range.

There was still time for Mann to add his second try of the match to secure the nine-point victory and earn an away bonus point for the visitors.
