Garston Ladies first team secured their place in the next round of the League Cup following a 4-1 victory over Letchworth Garden City.

Linda Watt scored the opener with Vikki Duffy adding the second before a defensive mix-up allowed Letchworth back into the game before the break.

But Garston were stronger in the second half and extended their lead through Lucy Zecchin before Duffy scored her second.

It was not such good news for GLFC 96 as their cup dreams ended in extra time losing 5-4 to Woburn.

Holly Jury, Jade Roberts (2) and Dion Lewis scored for the visitors but it was not enough to progress in the competition.

The Under-18 Jaguars lost out 3-0 against Hampstead after only being able to field just 10 players.

The deficit was made bigger when they were forced to drop to just nine due to injury.

The tough run for Garston’s Under-16s continued with a 7-1 defeat to Bishops Stortford. Their lone goal was scored by Tiwalola Ogunru.

The Under-15 Panthers lost 15-1 to Watford after only fielding 10 players.

Like the Under-18s they had to drop to nine men and Watford used the two men more to their advantage.
