Oxhey Jets had a week of draws in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division against Sun Sports and Hadley.

On Tuesday night, Sun and Jets drew 1-1 with both goals coming in the second half.

Jet’s Scott Pugsley opened the scoring early on in the second period before Chris Blunden equalised in the last ten minutes of the game.

But the draw was achieved at a cost for Jets as Adam Lowton sustained a triple break in his foot during the match.

Oxhey also drew 1-1 with Hadley on Saturday after Pugsley took over goalkeeping duties in the absence of a regular stopper.

The visitors took the lead a quarter-of-an-hour into the game when they pushed forward against a jittery Jets defence.

But the hosts rallied and two minutes into first-half injury-time Lowton netted the equaliser.

Liam Jones won the ball after a strong tackle and Dan Taylor set the ball up perfectly for Lowton to slot home.

Sports had previously suffered a 3-1 defeat to Colney Heath on Saturday. Jack Johnson was the Sun goalscorer but it was not enough as the visitors claimed the three points.

Tring Athletic earned themselves a semi-final spot on Tuesday night after defeating Holmer Green 3-2 in the Premier Division Cup.

After losing two games in a row, goals from Chris Stapleton, Sam Joliffe and George Brinkman saw Athletic advance in a competition they won in 2009.

Tom Gant and a Greg Deer penalty replied for Green at the end of each half.

Tring had fallen to a 3-1 defeat in the league against Biggleswade United on Saturday.

David Iwediuno, Martin Russell and Nick Elliot scored for the hosts, with Stapleton netting for Athletic.

There were back-to-back defeats for Berkhamsted after a second-half comeback sent Wembley into the Premier Division Cup semi-final.

Goals from Craig McCreeth and Tom Carter ensured the Comrades went into the second half with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

However, the visitors battled back after the break as goals from Yasmine Fehmi-Gill, Calvin Kasirye and Adam Humphries secured a 3-2 win.

This defeat came after Berko had suffered a 1-0 league reverse against Hoddesdon Town on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Charlie Edwards powered the visitors in front when he headed into the back of the net with 20 minutes remaining.

But Ed Canham had an equaliser controversially disallowed after the ball bounced back out from the underside of the bar onto the pitch.

Leverstock Green added three more points to their season’s tally with a 4-1 away win over bottom-placed London Tigers at the weekend.

Tremayne Charles, Lewis Davis, Jonathan Lacey and Curtis Donaldson were all on the scoresheet with Lopes Josemar netting the reply for the Tigers.
