There has been an increase in entries and declarations of intent to take part in the Watford Observer Fourteen14 cricket competitions – and now there is more time for your club to sign up to take part.

Entries for the area’s premier limited overs event were due to close today, but event organisers have decided to extend this deadline by a further week in order to maximise the number of sides taking part and give school teams, in particular, more time to send in their entries due to the Easter holidays.

Confirmed entries have been received from Abbots Langley, Chipperfield Clarendon, Kings Langley, Langleybury (two teams), Leverstock Green (two teams) and West Herts, but it is expected at least 16 teams will sign up for the competitions.

In light of this extension until next Friday, the intention is to hold the first round draw on Monday, April 24.
