Kings Langley announced two signings to strengthen ahead of their 2017/18 campaign in the Southern Premier League.

Jorell Johnson and Mitchell Weiss have each put pen to paper to play at Gaywood Park.

Johnson played with Langley last season and expressed no desire to move on from the Hertfordshire club.

The 21-year-old committed himself to a two-year deal.

Weiss spent a season with Hemel Hempsted last year but has returned to the side he played for under previous bosses Paul Hughes and Richie Hanlon on a two-year contract.

Manager Paul Hobbs was delighted with both of the signings: “Jorell was with us and played for me during last season.

“He is the type of player and person you want around at your football club.

“It was quite an easy deal as he wanted to stay.

“And with Mitchell, he played for the club when Paul and Richie were here.

“We tried to get him last season but that was not to be.

“He was the first two or three phone calls we made.

“Mitchell is a player that will score goals in any league. He is aware of the budget but he just wants to play football and enjoy it so hopefully he will get that there.

“I think these two are great additions to Kings Langley.”

With the two new additions quickly wrapped up, the Kings boss is still keeping his cards close to his chest on others he wishes to bring in to move away from the relegation suffering season they have just endured.

“I think two or three more signings will be made in the next week or so.

“But I am not going to name names. I don’t think it is fair to do so to the club they are currently at or the players themselves.”
