Kyle Langford has been selected for Great Britain's World Championship squad.
The 21-year-old Garston athlete is one of three competitors named in the 800m after setting a new personal best of 1.45.45 at Sunday's Anniversary Games to also achieve the qualifying time for the championships, which take place at London Stadium from August 4 to 13.
Langford had missed out on automatic selection - subject to achieving the qualifying time - when he finished in third place at the team trials in Birmingham the previous weekend behind winner Elliot Giles and Guy Learmonth, who also finished ahead of him on Sunday.
However, the selectors have opted to give the third 800m slot to Langford now he has achieved the qualifying standard.

A 2013 World Youth Championship bronze medallist, Langford won the British title and European Junior crown in 2015, only for his progress to then be badly hampered by injury and illness.
Performance Director for British Athletics Neil Black said: “This feels bigger for us than Rio. London 2017 is the major global sporting event this year and will be the biggest occasion the country has seen since 2012.
"We’ve selected some incredibly talented athletes, and in many events there have been some close calls. It’s now up to them to grasp this opportunity and produce performances that will make the whole nation proud.”
