Last season’s runners-up Bovingdon have made the ideal start to the new campaign and sit atop the embryonic new Senior Premier Division table after winning their opening two games.

An Andrew Ofosu brace and a Cameron Brooks goal gave the village club a 3-0 home win over AFC Oaklands on Saturday, and they doubled that tally to hit six for no reply on Wednesday past an Evergreen side who were also beaten 4-0 at Letchworth Garden City at the weekend.

Belstone have only played one game in the opening week of the campaign but it ended in a thrilling 6-5 victory at Bushey Sports Club on Tuesday.

Danny Johnson and Jason Puzey both netted a brace apiece, while Darren Turner and Tom O’Regan were also on target for the visitors, who were run close after Jamie Hurst (2), Lee Inch, Michael Ogboro and Sean Sonner had netted for the Met.

Chipperfield Corinthians have experienced a mixed first week; losing 3-0 at home to Ware Sports on Saturday but bouncing back to get the better of Broadfields on Tuesday by the odd goal in five. Henry Hadaway netted twice and Ian George was also on target in the 3-2 win.
