Bovingdon's impressive start to the Herts County League season has continued after they made it four wins out of four with another back-to-back triumph this week, scoring 14 goals in the process.

The Premier Division leaders were in prolific form on Saturday, winning 8-1 at lowly Buntingford Town.

Goals from Jamie Hurst and Sean Sonner were no more than consolations as Bushey Sports Club were beaten 6-2 at Bovingdon on Wednesday.

The table-toppers are one of only two top-flight clubs to have 100 per cent records after four fixtures – Ware Sports are the other – but Belstone made it nine points from three matches with a 3-0 victory over Cuffley on Wednesday thanks to goals from Alan Bolger, John Christian and Darren Turner.

The Radlett club also hit six on Saturday at the expense of Chipperfield Corinthians, for whom Adrian Abramian scored. Belstone’s goals came through Tom O’Regan (2), Bolger, Ross O’Flynn, Robert Browell and Jason Puzey.

A disappointing week for Chipperfield was completed on Tuesday when they were beaten 2-1 by Evergreen.

Chris Blunden and Sam Clark scored for the victorious hosts, with Tristan Dicker netting Corinthians’ sole reply.

Evergreen had previously drawn at 1-1 at home to Broadfields on Saturday, with Mark Hansard scoring.

Although they were beaten on Wednesday, Bushey were victorious at the weekend as they defeated FC Lemsford 4-2 thanks to Dean Williams’ brace and further goals from Taylor Cobb and Hurst.
