Fullerians eased to a 37-5 win at Letchworth to move joint top of London One North.

The visitors dominated the match on Saturday as they made it two wins from two this season.

Within 45 seconds of the start, centre Liam Mann scored under the posts for the converted try after wing Tom Fawssett gathered the ball.

Fullers extended their lead after centre Myles Toon raced over the line. A couple of penalties from Dan Evans stretched their lead to 20-0 after the first quarter of the contest.

Letchworth got on the scoresheet with their first try before the break but scrum-half Andy Hovell replied with another score for Fullerians to make it 25-5 at half-time.

In the second half, Fullers continued to dominate all aspects of the game and were rewarded with a try bonus-point when George Harvey crashed over from close range.

Letchworth tried to string some phases together but Fullers' defence held strong and forced the turnover. They scored their fifth and final try through Mann's second of the match.

Fullers assistant coach Mike Perrera said: "We scored some lovely tries in difficult conditions but also left some out there that could have been converted. Still, two bonus-point wins from two games is fantastic.”

Fullerians entertain Old Priorians tomorrow afternoon.

Watford started their league campaign in Herts Middlesex One with a narrow 14-5 defeat against London Welsh.

The visitors made a bright start and opened up a 7-0 lead in the first five minutes.

Watford almost replied through Josh Wilkinson but he lost his footing just before the line.

But Watford number eight Martin Lee was hauled down five metres short. Pitsialis picked and drove followed by Lee who was able to reach out and dot down although the conversion struck the post.

London Welsh responded and added their second try of the game which handed them a nine-point lead at the break.

Watford defended strongly in the second half which ensured the hosts stayed in touch with their opponents.

The hosts pushed forward in search of a second try but could not cross the line as London Welsh came away with the points.

Watford travel to Barnet Elizabethans this weekend.

Tabard's season suffered a disappointing start after a comprehensive 48-12 defeat at London Nigerians in London Two North West.

The visitors started with a new front five and they held their own mostly at the set piece. But the pace of the game, on the all weather pitch, was ultimately too much for Tabard to cope with.

An early yellow card did not help matters and the extra man allowed Nigerians to score three tries in the first 15 minutes.

The first yellow card was followed by another as the hosts added two more tries before half-time to take a commanding 31-0 lead.

An incisive break from Mark Salteras helped set up Jonny Aguila for a Tabard try in the corner which was converted by Jack Reilly.

A try-saving tackle by Harry Gough set up a scrum for Nigerians who collected seven points as the referee awarded a penalty try.

Two more tries from the hosts rounded off the scoring for them. But Tabard kept going and were rewarded when Harry Gough scored in the corner.

It leaves the side with plenty to work on heading into their home game against Harrow tomorrow.
