Matt Wallace can set his sights towards the sharp end of the KLM Open leaderboard after shooting a second consecutive round of 68 to leave him four shots off the pace at the midway point.

The Moor Park Golf Club professional had to complete his second round at The Dutch this morning after darkness curtailed his progress after nine holes last night, with the tournament running behind schedule after bad weather had brought a premature end to play on Thursday.

The 27-year-old had been in good shape when he came off the course last night after birdies at the par four first, par three fourth and par five sixth had moved him up to six-under-par.

Although he bogeyed the par five 13th after resuming his round this morning, Wallace retrieved that shot at the par three 16th to leave him in a five-way share of ninth after two rounds, four behind joint leaders Joel Stalter and Joakim Lagergren.

Having won the Open de Portugal in May to secure his place on the European Tour, last year’s six-time Alps Tour winner achieved his second top-10 finish last month when he finished in a share of sixth at Made In Denmark.
