Herts Senior County League leaders Bovingdon eased through to the second round of the Aubrey Cup with a 9-2 victory at Hatfield Social.

Matthew Standen led the way with a hat-trick for the visitors, with the other six goals shared equally between Stefan Bailey, Ben Davis, Ibrahim Lukulay, Courtney Massay, William Summerfield and Lewis Pritchard.

Sarratt also enjoyed a productive cup day on the road on Saturday, winning 4-0 at Buntingford Town as John McGeachy, Ian McIntosh, Richard Vercasi and Liam Wyatt all found the back of the net.

Sarratt Reserves’ Herts Saturday Junior Cup hopes ended at the third round stage following a 5-3 defeat at Sarratt Reserves. Michael East netted twice for the beaten visitors and James Webb also struck.

Bushey Sports Club Reserves were the big winners in Reserve & Development 2, thumping Chipperfield Corinthians Reserves 6-1.

Oxhey Jets Reserves shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Old Parmiterians, while Evergreen Under-21 lost out 5-3 at home to leaders Welwyn Borough. Asher Alleyne and Tom Horton were among the home side’s scorers.
