Bovingdon gave their Herts Senior County League title prospects a big lift by beating second-placed Letchworth Garden City Eagles 1-0 on Saturday.

Two-goal Michael Vickers and Juli Hysaj scored for Jets in the tie which finished 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Oxhey Jets Vets did enjoy a victory though, triumphing 6-1 at Sporting 145 (Adult).

Ian Holdom and Ryan Murray both netted twice for the visitors, with the other two goals scored by Colin Jenkins and Jamie Rous.
