Having been crowned Thundersport 600 champion last season, William White will be looking to repeat the trick and make it back-to-back tittles in 2018.

The Garston motorbike rider was the standout performer in last year’s competition and has enjoyed a productive pre-season.

With the season getting underway at Donington Park this weekend, White is in confident mood and is eager to make an impact on the opening weekend.

“Preparations are going well. I’ve been away in Spain for some pre-season testing to familiarise myself with riding the bike again,” he said.

“I’m really looking forward to the first round despite the weather being unpredictable at this time of year.

“It’s been a long time since I last raced a bike, the last time I raced I became a champion. I’m determined this year will be as successful as last, if not more.”

White also hopes to compete in the British Superbike Championship this year to add to his Thundersport commitments.

The Superbike Championship regularly attracts crowds of more than 50,000 and is televised around the world.
