Evergreen Eagles’ Under-10 side beat competition from 79 other teams to win the West Herts Football Association Cup.

The Watford based club faced fellow local side Berkhamsted Raiders Red in the final last month as they won 3-1 in the showpiece game to seal the cup win.

They had to handle the challenge of playing at the Raiders’ home ground, but did so in fine fashion to overcome a side they have challenged in the league on a number of occasions already.

The route to the final game started in March when teams were drawn to face each other in a number of qualifying matches before Berko and Evergreen emerged as the finalists.

In what proved to be an entertaining final, the Eagles managed to emerge as winners as they made the most of their chances to win the trophy.

They ultimately owed their success to a goal apiece from Jake Simpson, Jamie Keen and Louis Fry-Hall.
