Aidy Boothroyd has dismissed suggestions linking three of his senior players with loan moves away from Vicarage Road.

Reports this morning claimed that Damien Francis, Mart Poom and Jobi McAnuff were targets for Ipswich Town, Coventry City and Crystal Palace respectively, but when asked if there was any substance to the speculation the Hornets boss said: “Nothing at all. Obviously the deadline’s gone and there’s not much to write about.

“There’s nothing in that. Nobody’s made any contact with me. There’s no point in other people having them on loan if we can use them.”
