Brendan Rodgers has already won the Carling Cup during his time at Chelsea and the Watford manager says the feeling is something he wants everyone at the club to experience.
Rodgers concedes that his side are the underdog against Tottenham tomorrow night but he is adamant his players will give their all in the quarter final clash.
The Northern Irishman was a member of the Chelsea staff when the Blues beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Millennium Stadium in 2007.
Rodgers said: “I have been around it when we won this competition at Chelsea, it is a wonderful feeling. Some people would say it is the lesser of the cup competitions but having experienced the winning feeling then it is something you would want every coach, every person involved with the club and every player of course to get that feeling.
“But it is step by step. We go into the game, really looking forward to the challenge. Tottenham will be favourites and are one of the biggest clubs in this country, which have themselves a wonderful history and a wonderful manager. So it will be a tough ask but the players will give it their all.”
The former Chelsea Reserve team boss knows it will be a different situation going into the game us underdog but says tomorrow’s match will give the Watford players an opportunity to feel success again after a poor start to this season.
Rodgers said: “I have come from the other way and the expectancy was to win. So I have been in the changing rooms and felt it and smelt what it was like to go out the favourite to win.
“This is a different situation. We are going into the game and are not expected to win. But what I do know from my short period that I have been here is that the players have their foot to the floor every time they play. They are so honest. They want to do their very best, they are keen to learn and want to do new things.
“They have had the feelings over the last few years of success and this brings an opportunity for that as well. They are really looking forward to it.”

Lets have a performance to be proud of and cheer the fans up after recent events.
Who knows..maybe Colin (*I want Watford Old Boys club back) will give some credit to the club then!
*With Chelsea supporting owners (hence maybe the reason Rodgers was appointed?)
