Watford have refused to comment on reports the club have signed Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Don Cowie on a pre-contract agreement.
The midfielder will be a free agent in the summer and it is believed the Hornets are interested in the player.
Reports in Scotland stated a deal had already been done for the 25-year-old but Watford have refused to comment on the matter.
The former Ross County player, who has been linked with a move to Motherwell, joined the Scottish Premier League club two years ago and has made 56 league appearances for the Highlands side, scoring 12 goals.
