Theo Robinson now set for Huddersfield Town switch

Theo Robinson is now expected to move to Huddesfield Town and not their League One rivals Swindon Town.

The Watford striker was due to move to the County Ground after returning from holiday for a fee that could rise to £275,000, but the Birmingham-born forward is now reportedly heading to Yorkshire.

Angry Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton told the Swindon Advertiser: “I don’t think it is going to happen now. We seem to have hit a problem which we are very upset about.

“We agreed a deal with the club and player but there are shenanigans going on that we have warned certain people about. This is a classic example of agents and greed.

“It’s been long drawn-out and more frustrating than anything,” Fitton continued. “We have an agreement with Watford, but whether I’m hopeful or not – I’ll wait and see.”

Reports in Yorkshire are also suggesting that Robinson is set to move to the Galpharm Stadium.

Nothing surprises me about football today. It's all about money. If I shake someone's hand on a deal I will honour it and trust them to do the same.

It puzzles me why Theo is leaving and Graham is joining.
I guess Theo scored too many goals!

Nothing is certain I don't feel till the player is seen on the pitch holding a shirt of the team he has joined.

Theo may have gone on holiday but I am sure his agent was busy working trying to get a better deal for his "client"

As they're so frustrated at not getting Theo, couldn't we just let them have Ellington for £250k.

This seems rather clumsy by the club and board. I know we are wuite poor but this seems to be taking the biscuit, I'm sure there's more ebhind the headlines, time for the WO to do a little more digging and get a statement from the club (without upsetting their new friendly relationship of course!)

Worthing-Hornet i doubt the club itself are part of the shenanigans. More likely TR agent is just trying to get the best deal for him and Swindon are miffed because they thought they had him only it seems for Huddersfield to pip them to the signing.
