Theo Robinson is now expected to move to Huddesfield Town and not their League One rivals Swindon Town.
The Watford striker was due to move to the County Ground after returning from holiday for a fee that could rise to £275,000, but the Birmingham-born forward is now reportedly heading to Yorkshire.
Angry Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton told the Swindon Advertiser: “I don’t think it is going to happen now. We seem to have hit a problem which we are very upset about.
“We agreed a deal with the club and player but there are shenanigans going on that we have warned certain people about. This is a classic example of agents and greed.
“It’s been long drawn-out and more frustrating than anything,” Fitton continued. “We have an agreement with Watford, but whether I’m hopeful or not – I’ll wait and see.”
Reports in Yorkshire are also suggesting that Robinson is set to move to the Galpharm Stadium.
