Bushey will meet Chipperfield Clarendon in this year’s Watford Observer Plate final after a convincing eight-wicket win over Kendal Albion at Watford Town’s Woodside ground tonight.
Habib Alam produced a fine all-round display for the victors, taking three wickets for just nine runs off his four overs as Kendal made 129 for seven off their 14, eight-ball overs.
Alam then cracked an unbeaten 56 to ensure his side will be in the climax to the competition at Met Police Bushey on Tuesday, July 14.
First up though, is the main Shield showdown between first-time finalists Met Police and Harefield on Tuesday.
This is also being hosted by Watford Town, with play due to get underway at 6.15pm and the organisers are hoping as many spectators as possible will come along to enjoy what promises to be an absorbing evening of cricket.
