Watford striker back to face Bristol City

After being demoted to the bench for the last three games, Danny Graham is back in the starting line-up for this evening’s clash with Bristol City at Vicarage Road.

The former Carlisle United striker, who has found the net just once in his last 20 appearances, returns in place of Ross Jenkins to partner Heidar Helguson up front in the only change from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Barnsley.

That means leading scorer Tom Cleverley is again absent with the knee injury that kept him out of the trip to Oakwell.

While the Hornets have only one won of their last nine games, Bristol City’s record is one match worse than that and boss Gary Johnson has rung the changes, predominantly in midfield.

The former Watford Academy manager’s son Lee, David Clarkson and Cole Skuse all come in for Marvin Elliott, Paul Hartley and Evander Sno. The latter was due to be on the bench but was injured in the warm-up and had to be replaced by Joe Edwards.

The other change is up front, with Alvaro Saborlo replacing the injured Nicky Maynard.
