Steve Finn admits he would jump at the chance to take the new ball as England attempt to finish off Bangladesh tomorrow in the fifth day of the first Test.

The Watford seamer has grown into his role on his Test debut and took the wicket of Imrul Kayes as the hosts battled to 191 for five. He finished up on one for 31 off 11 overs as the visitors closed in on victory.

Finn, 20, told Sky Sports News: "It's something I've been a lot more comfortable doing over the last 12 months. I took the new ball after the first couple of games for Middlesex last year and it's something I enjoy doing. So if the new ball is thrown at me I'd take it with both hands.

"We were always confident coming into this game that we were going to win. We think we've got the players in the dressing room capable of doing so and it's just a fantastic opportunity for us to go out and prove we can roll teams over on decks that aren't doing much."
