Anyone hoping to travel to Nigel Callaghan’s benefit match by coach on Sunday needs to book their place by 5pm tonight.
A Watford Legends side will face a Derby County XI at Pride Park on Sunday in aid of former Hornet Callaghan, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in November last year.
Coaches will be leaving Vicarage Road at 8.30am on Sunday and tickets are £10 per head, with match tickets £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
The Hornets side should be managed by Watford chairman and former England manager Graham Taylor and the likes of John Barnes, Luther Blissett and Tommy Mooney are all expected to play.
Ex-England international Peter Shilton could be in goal for Derby, who will be managed by Rams legend Roy McFarland.
Callaghan made 215 league starts for Watford during his time at the club, netting 42 times. He was an integral part of the Hornets' success during the 1980s and also played for England-Under-21s during that time.
The former winger then moved to Derby where he helped the club win promotion to the top-flight in the 1986/87 season before eventually moving to Aston Villa in 1989.
Callaghan has been unable to work in recent months due to his treatment and money raised will go to not only Callaghan himself but also the Bobby Moore Fund and the Lewis Mighty Fund.
To book your place on the supporters’ coach, call the Watford ticket office on 0844 856 1881. Tickets for the match, which will kick-off at 1pm, can be purchased from the Derby County ticket office by calling 0871 472 1884.
