Kings Langley Seconds beat Tewin by five wickets to move up to second place in Herts Division Seven.

Tewin batted first and were dismissed for just 94 in the 31st over. The wickets were shared between Ben Joyce (three for 22), Duane Smith (three for 33), Varman Ratnakuranan (two for ten) and Phil Robinson (two for 18).

Langley managed to reach 35 before they lost opener Greg Pinchin for 19. But Tom Clark (43 not out) and Will Johnston (18) pushed the score along slowly.

Despite losing three quick wickets, the win was secured in the 37th over to move Kings up to second place.

Hemel Hempstead Fourths lost to St Albans Thirds by six wickets at Verulam School.

Opener Jim Birnie managed to hit 41 and Steve Smith struck 26 but the rest of the side faltered badly as they were skittled out for just 104. St Albans had few problems chasing down the lowly total for the loss of just four wickets.
