Watford rugby players tackle 'safest most dangerous race'

Ten players from Watford Rugby Club travelled to Staffordshire to compete in the 'safest most dangerous race' in the world.

Martin and Andy Lee, Gary Wilson, Simon Tucker, Chris Jenkins, Marcus Makinson, Dave Mitchell, John Portway, Gary Bridge and Richard Yates all completed the ‘tough guy’ course in under 3.45.00.

Competitors had to complete an eight mile run, battle through freezing plunge pools, run through fire and battled electric shocks.

All ten members of the rugby club finished, including 48 year old veteran Gary Bridge, despite playing 80 minutes of rugby the previous day.
