Rain forces postponement of Watford Obsever Fourteen14 Shield semi-final for second day running
3:10pm Tuesday 3rd July 2012 in Local Sport By Anthony Matthews, Group Sports Editor
This evening's Watford Obsever Fourteen14 Shield semi-final between Langleybury A and Leverstock Green has fallen victim to the weather.
The game was due to be played at Watford Town's Woodside ground and the postponement follows the cancellation of yesterday's first scheduled semi-final between West Herts and Watford Town A at Met Police Bushey's Aldenham Road home.
Efforts are now underway to reschedule the last-four clashes - the third time this has been necessary - in the hope they can still take place before the revised final date of Thursday, July 12 at Chipperfield Clarendon.
This could lead to a bumper week in the area's premier limited overs competitions, with the two Plate semi-finals also delayed until next week.
Watford Grammar School for Boys are due to face Aldenham at Chipperfield Clarendon on Monday, while Rickmansworth take on Watford Town B at Abbots Langley two evenings later.
