Latest date changes to Watford Obsever Fourteen14 Shield and Plate
6:27pm Wednesday 11th July 2012 in Local Sport By Anthony Matthews, Group Sports Editor
New dates have been set for the Watford Observer Fourteen14 Plate semi-finals after both games were called off earlier today.
Tomorrow's clash between Watford Grammar School for Boys and Aldenham at Chipperfield Clarendon was the first to be postponed, before tonight's other semi-final between Watford Town B and Rickmansworth at Abbots Langley also suffered the same fate.
The latter has been rearranged for Tuesday, while following numerous conversations both Watford Grammar and Aldenham have agreed to play their rearranged tie at the Rickmansworth Road school next Thursday (July 19).
Both matches though, will start at the earlier time of 6pm because of potential concerns about the light later in the evening.
As a result of these latest weather-enforced changes, the Plate final - rearranged for Tuesday - will have to be put back again.
Both Shield semi-finals were again postponed earlier this week but the match between Leverstock Green and Langleybury A has been rescheduled for Tuesday at Watford Town, also with a 6pm start.
It is hoped the other last-four clash, with Watford Town A meeting West Herts, can also finally take place early next week, allowing for the final to be played at Chipperfield Clarendon on July 19.
