Snowboard superstar Shaun White scored only the second perfect 100 of his career as he qualified for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in style this weekend.
American White, a double Olympic half-pipe champion and 13-times Winter X Games winner, nailed his routine at the US Grand Prix in Snowmass, Colorado.
The 31-year-old produced a 1440 double cork and two 1260 double corks to return to form in style and book his place at his fourth Games in South Korea.
White, nicknamed ‘The Flying Tomato’, had needed 62 stitches in a facial wound after crashing during a half-pipe routine in New Zealand in October.
White scored his previous perfect score in a SuperPipe competition at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado in 2012.
