Saracens have strengthened their second row for next season by signing Bedford Blues forward Mouritz Botha.
The 6ft 6in lock has been a consistent performer for the National League One side since joining them three years ago.
Botha, 27, made 57 appearances for the Blues after being spotted rising through the ranks at Bedford Athletic.
His performances also earned him a call-up to the East Midlands side for the traditional Mobbs Memorial match against the Barbarians earlier this season.
Incoming Sarries director of Rugby Brendan Venter said: "His attitude is fantastic and Mouritz has all the attributes to make an excellent contribution next season."
Bedford director of rugby Mike Rayer said: "He had a year to go on his contract but we negotiated a deal after Saracens came in with an offer and we fully understand Mouritz's position. It is a great opportunity for him and we wish him well.
"We are, of course, disappointed as we have invested a lot of time and resources on his development but that is the way of the world."
