Saracens hooker Alex Walker has agreed a move to Guinness Premiership rivals Newcastle Falcons.
The 25-year-old former England Under-21 international joined the Men in Black three years ago.
Walker made six appearances for the side last season but the arrival of South African hookers Schalk Brits and Ethienne Reynecke this summer meant his opportunities at Vicarage Road were limited.
Falcons director of rugby Steve Bates said: "Alex comes highly recommended from our contacts in both Australia and England, and will add significant competition for places in the hooking position."
