TAKUDZWA NGWENYA could be on his way to Saracens after reportedly been offered a month's trial by consultant Eddie Jones.

The Zimbabwe-born wing is one of the fastest players at the World Cup, and with Sarries having something of an injury crisis in their back-line Jones has wasted no time in speaking to the 22-year-old.

Ngwenya's stock rose after a scintillating try against South Africa which saw him run half the length of the pitch before beating Bryan Habana, who is arguably the quickest player in the game.

"My ambition is to play for a top club in Europe," said Ngwenya. "I have taken a few calls during the World Cup and Eddie spoke to me after the game against South Africa.

"He wants me to spend a month with Saracens and it is certainly something I would be interested in."

Ngwenya only started playing rugby when he was 17 and qualifies for the US under residency rules.

He plays for Dallas Athletic and once ran the 100 metres in 10.5 seconds to set a high school record.

His early career saw him enjoy spells with the Mashonaland Club in Zimbabwe and Texan outfit Plano, before making the Texas Select Side and the U19 national side.

Ngwenya's arrival would be a huge boost to Saracens who have already lost speedy pair Dan Scarbrough and full-back Brent Russell to long-term injuries.
