Sorrell still dogged by ankle injury

SARACENS centre Kevin Sorrell is still struggling to shake off an ankle injury which has forced him to miss his side's last three Premiership matches.

The club veteran had been an ever present for his side's league and Heineken Cup matches this season until he picked up a knock against Glasgow Warriors last month.

After last weekend's defeat to Newcastle Falcons Sarries boss Alan Gaffney admitted he expected his outside centre to return for Sunday's clash with Harlequins at Vicarage Road.

However, Sorrell, who stepped up his training with some running drills today, is taking it one day at a time.

"I got caught in a wierd position when the injury happened," said the 30-year-old. "It was a bit niggly and wouldn't settle down. It takes a fair bit of warming up and I wouldn't say it's 100% at the moment."
