The Watford Cheetahs are excited to announce their confirmed regular season schedule for the 2010 season.

It has been a busy offseason, with an overhaul of the coaching staff, many player transfers and a move to the South West Division. For the third consecutive season the Cheetahs’ season starts against the Milton Keynes Pathfinders, an opponent with whom the Cheetahs are quite familiar having played them six times over the last three years.

This season will also see the Cheetahs playing matches against some teams for the first time, such as the Gloucester Banshees and the heralded Hampshire Thrashers, who last year made it to the playoffs only to lose to eventual Conference Champions the Colchester Gladiators.

The Cheetahs begin their 2010 campaign with four consecutive away games before their 2010 home opener on 20th June at 14:30 against the Berkshire Renegades, who won the last contest between these two teams in 2008 by a single point. The Cheetahs will be keen not only to establish themselves at their home ground but also to avenge this most narrow of losses. With the division set to be a closely fought affair, each game is vital if the Cheetahs are to make good on their playoff aspirations.

The Cheetahs will close out their regular season with a three game homestand, followed by the prospect of playoffs in pursuit of the Division 2 crown. Full details of the team and all games can be found by visiting Watford Cheetahs. Admission to games is free.
