The new recruits were put through their paces with various drills and challenges designed to demonstrate basic blocking, tackling, running and catching ability as well as speed, agility and footwork which is all required to play the game.

American Football is an ever-growing sport in the UK with a full British Governing-body, dedicated National Leagues with more than 50 member clubs from up and down the country. The now annual NFL International Series games at Wembley Stadium has enhanced this and more recently, Parliament has formally recognised American Football as a sport in the UK. Keep checking back on the club's website (www.watfordcheetahs.com), Facebook and Twitter pages for any further events the team will be holding, so don't worry if you missed out on this occasion, there will be plenty of opportunities to try out the game with the Cheetahs.
