Watford confirm next season's scholars hoping to follow in Sean Murray's footsteps

Watford have confirmed the 13 youngsters who will be starting scholarships with the club next season.

The 13 players will work alongside the seven existing first-year scholars and some already have Under-18s experience, with five of the Under-16s finishing Saturday's Under-18s' defeat to Leicester City.

Several of the new scholars have been with the Hornets since they were six or seven.

The high number of scholars is partly due to Watford requiring an Under-21s team as well as an Under-18s side next season as part of the new EPPP proposals.

Next season's first-year scholars will be:

Jazzi Barnum Bobb (defender)

Bobson Bawling (midfielder)

George Byers (midfielder)

Jamie Calvin-Pay (striker)

Ollie Cox (midfielder)

Oliver Crowley (defender)

Kurtis Cumberbatch (midfielder)

Chris Dillon (midfielder)

Josh Doherty (defender)

Ryan Hope (midfielder)

Alex Jakubiak (striker)

Jorell Johnson (defender)

Daniel Wilks (goalkeeper)

If some of these lads eventually make it through to the 1st team us supporters will have to be very inventive making up songs to fit in with their names ;-)
