Watford currently lead ten-man Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage thanks to a goal from Almen Abdi and Troy Deeney brace.
The Hornets created several early chances. Daniel Tozser came close with a curled free kick which forced Marcus Bettinelli into a save before Deeney had a header cleared off the line by Konstantinos Stafylidis.
The Golden Boys eventually broke the deadlock in the 15th minute. Gabriele Angella was brought down on the edge of the box and Abdi dispatched the resultant free kick under the wall and into the net.
Watford were at their free flowing best and soon had a second. Abdi slipped Matej Vydra through on goal, he attempted to round Bettinelli but was fouled.
Penalty to the Hornets and Bettinelli was dismissed. Deeney stepped up from 12 yards and fired his spot kick past substitute goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly.
Fulham tried to fight back but Watford were in full control and, nine minutes before the interval, added a third.
A poor headed clearance dropped on Munari’s head. The Italian knocked the ball down for Deeney and he poked his effort under Kiraly and into the net.
