If you wish to avoid the city centre then you can leave the M4 at Junction 33.
Direction from Watford by train:Take a train from Watford Junction to London Euston, then to London Paddington and on to Cardiff Central. You then join the local line on to Ninian Park, which is 500 metres from the new stadium. Alternatively Cardiff Central is two miles from the ground.
Car parking:There are a few nearby businesses who rent out their land for parking on matchdays at around £5 a car. However, parking at the nearby retail park is limited to 90 minutes.
Cardiff also have an ‘Away Family Parking Area’ which relates to the 125-seat away family section inside the stadium and is £5 a car. You need to contact Watford FC for more information on this area and to purchase your space.
Programme: £3
Where to eat:There is a retail park directly next to the stadium where there is a Greggs, Subway and Costa. A McDonalds is also currently being built on the site,
Where to drink:There are no new pubs close to the stadium and the home fans usually occupy the majority of the pubs nearby and away fans are encouraged to stay away. Your best bet is to drink in the many bars in the city centre.
