Direction from Watford by Road: Take the M25 from Watford until Junction 15. Exit at Junction 15 and join the M4. Follow the signs for Reading before leaving the M4 at Junction 11. Again follow the signs for Reading and the Madejski Stadium is on you left-hand side after less than a mile. There are currently major roadworks taking place at Junction 11 of the M4, so you should allow for additional travelling time.

Direction from Watford by train: The most obvious way to go by train is by travelling to London Paddington via London Euston and then getting the direct train to Reading Station. Then catch the number 79 bus from the station to the ground.

Car parking:The best option for travelling fans is to park in the town centre car parks, in particular Friar Street, and take the shuttle bus from Reading Station. There are car parks close to the ground however. The official car park next to the stadium is usually full but you may be able to get the odd space.

If you are coming from the M4, then just after the Madejski on the left is the speedway track, named Reading Stadium. Here you have more chance of finding a space. Both charge £5. There are also a few other places close to the ground where you can park at a small cost.

Programme: £3

Where to eat: There is s a drive-through McDonald’s on the A33 right next to the ground. And next to that is a KFC and a take-away Pizza Hut.

Where to drink: There are no pubs around the ground and the best bet is to head into the town centre.
