Watford defender joins Yeovil Town for a month

Young Watford defender Rob Kiernan has joined Yeovil Town on a month’s loan.

The centre half, who was an unused substitute in last night’s 2-0 victory at Stevenage, is not permitted to play in the Carling Cup for the League One club, but there is no recall clause before the end of the 28-day loan.

This is the 19-year-old’s second loan spell after he made two starts, plus two substitute appearances, for Kilmarnock last season.
