Brentford are keen to re-sign Watford defender Adam Thompson on loan.

Thompson made ten appearances for the Bees at the beginning of this season before he was recalled by his parent club.

And the Hounslow Chronicle is reporting Brentford want to re-sign the 19-year-old when the loan window reopens tomorrow.

Brentford have a number of former Hornets amid their ranks, with goalkeeper Richard Lee joined by ex-Watford backroom staff members Mark Warburton, Ose Aibangee, Bob Oteng and Neil McIlhargey.

Thompson made 11 appearances for Watford last season despite still being a second-year scholar and is already a Northern Ireland international.

The lad needs to be playing and he seemed to do really well at Brentford so I hope he goes back there, provided of course he is in their first team.

Well he is not going to get a game for us any time soon (barring injuries) so it has got to be a good thing for him and us if he is getting first team football.

After ten years of proving his value to six different managers it amazes me that anyone can question Doyley's ability. He is the best defender in this league and continues to be an outstanding servant to WFC.

I think that full backs of the modern game need to be able to get up interchange with midfield and supply balls for the front players as well as be able to play football. There are not many in the lower division with the full ability and LD is not a all rounder he is a good tackler and defender with his head therefore he has survived as long as he has. When you see Hodson he is developing into such a all round defender not sure on Adam but guess like Hodson with a chance he may be someone for the future?
